In a fruitful continuous cooperation with the Petroleum Pipelines Company (PPC), one of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation companies, Emaar Misr‘s team executed a 16-inch carbon steel Nile crossing in diameter and 1,850m length at a 40 m depth. Our team faced some challenges, but they managed to successfully overcome due to their experience,Amongst those challenages was to start drilling and enter in a rock soil at a specific depth. Then to exist and finish the drilling in a soft clay soil. The different soils require adjustments in the drilling technique when transferring between two soil types to ensure similarity and accuracy of the drilling.
