Water Supply Pipeline Crossing to transfer the full capacity of Seawater Desalination Plant (Ain Sokhna)

Within the framework of the country’s attention to the water problems and finding innovative solutions, the government established a seawater desalination plant in Ain Sokhna.

In cooperation with the Egyptian Armed Forces Engineering Authority, Emaar Misr drilled a water pipeline crossing with a diameter of 48-inches and a 525m length to transfer the entire capacity of desalinated seawater from the plant, with a capacity of 70,000 cubic meters, to Solid uplifter.

One of the most difficult challenges Emaar Misr’s team faced, was the presence of gravel soil, in which work requires special expertise and equipment. Thankfully, Emaar Misr already had such experience, and that is what enabled the team to take on such work and complete the project accurately and efficiently to international standards.
